Skulls-A is a Trojan created for mobile phone ba ed on Nokia Serie 60 specifications and with the Symbian operating system. The symbols are replaced by of a skull and crossbone image and the links from the osymbol to the applications replaced by to links to applications installed by the trojan.
Infection:
The Trojan has reportedly been posted on websites containing shareware applications for Symbian phone as the Extended Theme.sis installation file.During the installation of the SIS installation file some file are created on the C:drive of the phone (ram).These file are installed with the same path as the files in the ROM (drive Z:).Because the drive C has precedence of the same file on Z:the corresponding files in Z:are replaced by the ones installed by the Trojan SIS file.
Damage:
Nearly nothing than calling is possible.The symbols on the display are replaced by skull .All links from the symbol to the corresponding applications are deleted.
Remove the Trojan:
Probably the installation of a third party operating system may help.If not reset the system and reinstall the operating system and the applications.
Prevention:
Only download image, videos, ringtones and applications only from trustable websites. This are e.g. The websites of the handy manufacturer or handyklingelton.com.
